
Jean Rhodes was born in Winter Haven, Florida. She earned both her BA and MA in English at MTSU and is currently pursuing her DA in English at MTSU while serving as a full-time English instructor (beginning in the Fall of 2002). In previous years she has been a recipient of a doctoral fellowship and the Peck Award. Her areas of interest include 20th century American literature, along with feminist and postcolonial critical theory. She has presented papers at the Tennessee Philological Association and the Tennessee Williams Scholars Conference, and will present at the Image and Imagery Conference in Ontario in the fall of 2002. She is awaiting publication of several entries in the forthcoming Tennessee Williams Encyclopedia.
